The 28th annual Thanksgiving Feast

The 28th annual Thanksgiving Feast is now history!  WOW!  I praise our great GOD for another wonderful day of serving JESUS and others!


Today we fed 770 persons, and gave away hundreds of coats and gloves.  It was such a remarkable day!  You might see coverage tonight on the local news at KKTV.


The annual Thanksgiving Feast is a living illustration of I Corinthians 12, where Paul describes the work of individual members of the body of CHRIST utilizing his/her spiritual gift, everyone functioning in different capacities, for the benefit of the entire body, to accomplish the work of GOD for the glory of GOD.


From greeting to singing to carving to driving to serving to setting up to tearing down to cooking a turkey to baking a pie to bringing green beans, yams, cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes and much more, the people of GOD came together for the glory of GOD to serve people for whom CHRIST died.  What a witness!  What a blessing!  What a joy!


I want to say thank you to our Thanksgiving Feast Coordinator, Lori Cantwell, for a "job well done."  Everything rises and falls on leadership!  She has provided great leadership for us all.  Thank you, Lori, and thank you to all who served.


One of the many, many reasons I love our church family is that fact that these wonderful CHRIST followers "get it."  It is not about me!  It is about JESUS!  It is about the glory of GOD!  It is about being on mission for GOD.  It is about dying to self and serving JESUS and others!  Hallelujah!
