With no opportunities for us to teach the children of Redemption Hill parents because of the cancellation of all activities at our church building due to coronavirus, we want to help you as parents to invest in the spiritual lives of your children during our time away. After all, GOD's Word does state that parents have the primary responsibility for their child's spiritual formation. The Church then comes alongside of the parent to further enhance that child's spiritual growth.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 declares, "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart; you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up."

We offer you these two resources for you to teach your children in your home.

The first resource is LifeWay Christian Resources. They are offering "LifeWay Kids at Home," a free temporary digital resource to supplement Life Groups/Sunday School from home. Just click http://www.bpnews.net/54463/lifeway-offers-free-athome-supplement-for-churches-impacted-by-covid19. According to LifeWay, "Users will have access to video content from "Bible Studies for Life for Kids" worship hour, Bible story teachings, life application, and kids talking about the week's topic. To accommodate families that have children of different ages, the "LifeWay Kids at Home" content is not graded and is geared toward first through sixth graders.

A second resource is from Kolby King Ministries. You can click the following website, www.ThreeThirtyMinistries.org/family-devotions, to get 85 free family devotions produced by Kolby King. If you recall, Kolby and his family have been in our church on 2 occasions for Sunday morning worship. According to Kolby, "These were written with the idea of engaging everyone in the family at the same time—from the youngest child to the oldest adult. These are short, fun and interactive for the purpose of showing parents that they can discuss spiritual truth at home."

While we certainly miss investing in the spiritual lives of our children, it is our prayer that GOD uses this time in homes to strengthen relationships between parents and their children. We encourage parents to seize the opportunity to use this extra time to invest in the spiritual lives of their children. Please use the resources provided in this blog.

We look forward to the time when we can gather together again! Until then, we urge you to continue to make a spiritual difference in the lives of your children!
