Supporting Our Military Families

Through the years, our Circle Drive church family has been (and continues to be) incredibly blessed by military families who have transferred to Colorado Springs via Fort Carson, Schriever Air Force Base, Peterson Air Force Base, Air Force Academy, and NORAD.  So many have come and gone.  These families "jump right in," knowing the time limitation of their assignment here, and make a difference for a "season," and then move on to their next assignment.  When they leave, our hearts are truly saddened!!

It has been our joy through the years to honor and remember those men and women who have been deployed.  We place each deployed soldier's picture or his/her family picture on slides so that we can visually see them on Sunday morning, remember them, and pray for the them.

Let me encourage our church family to continue to reach out to our deployed families.  Look out over our congregation, find a deployed family, and invite them out to lunch after church.  Or, even better, invite the family to your home for a meal and also conversation.  On a Sunday morning, find a woman whose husband is deployed and ask if she has any repairs on her home or maybe even her vehicle that you or someone else could lend a helping hand.

As we are commanded in GOD's Word to love one another, let us show our love for deployed families through our actions.  These families are making a huge sacrifice for us - for our country.  Let's give honor to whom honor is due!
