Hello, Redemption Hill Church family and friends!

This coming Sunday we are going to receive a special offering to help Afhgan refugees. Some refugees are Christians seeking to escape persecution/death at the hands of the Taliban. Yet, there are also ethnic minorities and women and girls who are fleeing, and those who helped support the US military cause for the past 20 years.

Our denomination has an organization that helps in crises like this one: SEND RELIEF. According to a recent email, “Send Relief is strategically working with World Relief and our trusted global ministry partners to minister to Afghan refugees around the world.” Our offering will go to SEND RELIEF/World Relief to help support those who are in desperate need.

Our goal is $11,000, which will support an Afghan family of 4 for three months.

If you prefer, you can give to "Afghan Refugee Fund" at rhccs.org/give or the RHC app.

Meanwhile, please pray fervently and urgently as the crisis in Afghanistan continues to worsen dramatically. I am calling on our Redemption Hill Church family and friends to pray for the families of the 13 US service members who were killed today in a complex series of terrorist attacks in Kabul. Pray also for other US service members (and their families) who were seriously in this suicide attacks. Please pray for the safety of our troops (and their families) who are currently deployed in Afghanistan. Pray also for those Americans and Afghans who are seeking to get out of the country. Pray also for Christians. An unconfirmed report had at least one Christian family in Kabul being shot and killed in their home by the Taliban. Please pray!!
