REPORT FROM "DRIVE-THRU TRAIL OF TREATS"
I praise GOD for the way He blessed our "Drive-Thru Trail of Treats" this past Saturday at our property at the southwest corner of Markseffel and Bradley Roads. We had a wonderful team of "servants" who made a difference for the event. We started the process at 11:00 am and unloaded supplies & items back at the church around 6:00 pm. I greatly appreciate the many hours our children's director, Kathy, invested in planning and organizing the event!
A continuous stream of vehicles from 2:00-4:00 pm made their way around all of the candy/gift stations set up on the property. It was truly a drive-thru, as each car drove up to a station so their children could receive the candy/gift while remaining in the car. The corona virus led us to be creative this year!
We did not count the number of cars who participated. But we purchased enough candy for 300 children, and we ran out at the very end. A majority of the vehicles were not members of our church!
This year we advertised through Facebook and neighborhood apps, as well as placing portable signs by the entrance of the property. They worked!
One of the many reasons I love our church family is their love for JESUS and their passion to serve others! Both were certainly on display this past Saturday! To GOD be the glory!
