Redemption Hill Church’s purpose statement is direct and simple: “Make Disciples.” It is taken from the Great Commission of Matthew 28: 18-20:

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

GOD has given us a “vision” on how to carry out the Great Commission. It has been the process of total church revitalization and a total church campus relocation.

Vision is a critical component of church life. Proverbs 29:18 is an oft-quoted verse: “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Pastor Timothy Keller reminds us that “a common vision can unite people of very different temperaments.” It brings us all together!

We desire every member of “the Hill” to be a part of this vision. Pastor David Jeremiah said, “The only way the corporate Body of Christ will fulfill the mission Christ has given it is for individual Christians to have a vision for fulfilling that mission personally.”

What is the vision of Redemption Hill Church to fulfill the great commission? Here it is:

1. Construct a totally new campus at the corner of Marksheffel and

Bradley Roads, which will include a worship center seating 600.

2. Seek to reach our community with the gospel of JESUS.

3. Through GOD growing the church, we would transition to 2 Sunday

morning worship services.

4. When we reach 1,000 in attendance, we envision taking 100

people and $250k to plant a church in the Colorado Springs area.

5. When attendance builds up again to 1,000, we would then take

100 people and 250K to plant another church in the Coloado

Springs area.

6. We would just continue this process - existing as a multiplying

7. The Church Residency Program would be a key component in the

life and future of our church. This program would train and equip

leaders for our church family. This program also would raise up

church planters and leaders to plant churches in the Colorado

Springs area.

Famed missionary William Carey “coined” the famous line, “Our future is as bright as the promises of GOD.” I agree. As we surrender our lives to JESUS, and as we remember our reason for existing - making disciples - we allow GOD to use us for the fulfillment of this GOD-sized vision He has given us.

Ultimately, every effort expended in this vision is for the glory of GOD.
