PRESCHOOL LEADERSHIP TRANSITION

Redemption Hill Church has truly been blessed with the spiritual leadership of our Preschool Director, Dawn Stern, for the past four years! She has faithfully served JESUS and our church family! She provided such valuable ministry as we transitioned from our former campus at 801 N. Circle Drive to our current transitional facility at 124 Delaware Drive. In her four years, she has overseen every aspect of our preschool ministry, including our MOPS ministry. Recently, after a season of prayer and reflection, she shared in our church staff/leadership team meeting her sense in GOD's calling for her to resign her position and focus on her ministry at home. While our staff was saddened by the news, we were also supportive of Dawn's decision. So, as a church family, we thank GOD for the difference Dawn has made in our preschool ministry the last four years. We are confident GOD is going to continue to use her in a great way in the ministry of Redemption Hill. We pray GOD's very best for Dawn and her family!!

At the same time, it is my pleasure and joy to introduce to your Redemption Hill's new preschool director, Desiree Walthall. She currently serves as assistant director, so the transition to her new position is going to be "seamless." Desiree brings to this position a great love for JESUS and preschoolers. She was saved and baptized under our church's ministry years ago. When her husband, David, transitioned out of the military, he took a job in Kentucky. In 2017, they moved back to Colorado Springs and reunited with our church family. Desiree and David have four boys: Logan, Bradley, Sam, and Jackson. Our church family loves the Walthalls! We rejoice in GOD's call in Desiree's life to assume this ministry role in our church. Be sure to pray for her as she begins her ministry on August 1.
