Hurricane Harvey and Irma Bake Sale

On Sunday morning, September 10, our pre-schoolers, children, youth and their families sponsored a bake and t-shirt sale, with proceeds going to the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief being conducted in the areas affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.  Families did the baking, and brought their baked goods to sale.  The grand total for donations for that sale was $2,979.75!  Wow!  I was so thrilled and so amazed by that total!

I am so thankful our church can send a check for $2,979.75 to help in disaster relief.  But I am also thankful for the life lessons that are being taught at Circle:

  1. By baking goods, family members are working together as a team toward a common goal.

  2. By baking goods, we are teaching our pre-schoolers, children, and youth to focus on helping and serving GOD and others.

  3. By baking goods, we ultimately learn the value of serving GOD in a very unique way.

I praise GOD for the generosity of our church family!  I also thank GOD for those who baked!  Together, as the people of GOD, we can all make a difference!  To GOD be the glory!!
