Easter Sunday at Circle

I praise our great GOD for a glorious celebration of the resurrection of JESUS this past Sunday at Circle!  We began at 6:15 am with a "sunrise" service" at our property at the corner of Marksheffel and Bradley Roads.  With a temperature of 47 degrees and clear skies, we literally enjoyed watching the sun rise as we met, reminding us of that day when Mary and Mary M. went to the tomb at dawn, and discovered it was empty!

We experienced GOD's presence in our worship experience at 10:15 am at our CDBC campus.  With a large Easter crowd in attendance, Joel Taylor and the worship band led us to participate in the corporate worship of Almighty GOD, including a selection that involved our combined choirs.  The message focused on John 11: 25-26: "JESUS said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life.  He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.  And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.  Do you believe this?'"

We climaxed our time together with believer's baptism!  Ten persons professed faith in JESUS through their baptism. What a joy to see people present a picture of the death, burial and resurrection of JESUS through believer's baptism, as well as a visual of each one's death to the old life, the burial, and raised by JESUS to "walk in the newness of life."

We will remember this Easter Sunday for years to come, as we "surprised" Tony and Tamara Gordon, their family, and our church family through the unannounced, unexpected return of Brianna Moss from her 9 month deployment in the Middle East. How truly touching it was to see her 2 pre-schoolers run to her, as well as her family gathered around her.  As one person said afterwards, "I've seen these surprise reunions on youtube but never in person."  Yes, it was a powerful experience and a wonderful way to conclude our celebration together.

GOD has His hand on our church!  We continue to move forward by faith.  We continue to trust GOD will "do exceedingly abundantly above all we should ask or think. (Ephesians 3:20)  So excited to see what GOD has planned for us in the days ahead.  To HIM be the glory!
