On behalf of our Redemption Hill Church family, I extend our love, sympathy and prayer support to Richard Carter and his family in the "homegoing" of his wife, Sylvia.

She passed away to heaven from her home on Tuesday, January 5. She was 80 years old.

Sylvia was a faithful attender of Redemption Hill since she and her husband joined membership 33 years ago, February 7, 1988. She loved JESUS, her family, and her church family. I will always remember the kind words she would express every Sunday as Richard and her left the worship service. They both made great sacrifices of their "church preferences" when they embraced the vision of our church to purchase property and relocate our church building to the new campus at the southwest corner of Bradley and Marksheffel Roads. They willingly gave up "church life" as they knew it in order for our church to reach future generations. They, along with other senior adult members, are my heroes for giving up so much in order to reach people in the 21st century.

Funeral arrangements are currently pending. Syliva's husband, Richard, who also has experienced some serious health challenges, has been hospitalized with the corona virus. The family is just not certain when they can schedule a celebration of life service. Please be sure to remember to pray for Richard and his family during this difficult "season."
