A Tribute to Richard Carter

On behalf of our church family, I extend my love, sympathy and prayer support to the Carter family in the "homegoing" of Richard Carter on January 27, 2021. He was 86 years old. Richard was born to Arthur and Naomi Carter in Warren, Ohio on November 11, 1934. His wife, Sylvia, was "promoted to heaven" on January 5, 2021.

SFC Carter served in the Marines and for 20 years in the Army. Richard loved the outdoors, and enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing.

Richard was a faithful attender of Redemption Hill since he and his wife, Sylvia, joined membership 33 years ago, February 7, 1988. In the past couple of years, Richard's health declined and he was not able to attend public worship. Richard possessed a strong faith, and lived according to his Biblical convictions.

Richard's celebration of life service is scheduled for Friday, March 5 at Springs Funeral Home at 3115 East Platte Avenue. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00-11:00 am, and the service will begin at 11:00 am. Be sure to remember his son, Aaron, daughter, Pam, and their family during these difficult days.
