A TRIBUTE TO CLELL KEITH
On behalf of our church family, I extend my love, sympathy and prayer support to the family of Clell Keith, who passed away to heaven on Monday. He was 89 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, who passed away September 7, 2018.
Clell was born October 13, 1930. He and his family moved to Colorado Springs in 1960, when he was stationed at Fort Carson. They joined membership at our church on September 14, 1960, moving their membership from Academy Baptist in Honolulu, Hawaii.
In 1960, Clell and Betty built their home on 125 Belfour Drive. They rented their house when they moved out of town in 1970, but moved back to their home in 1975, and lived there for the rest of their lives, with the exception of the last two years, when Clell lived in a local care facility.
In June 1970, Clell and Betty moved to the Panama Canal Zone, and immediately joined membership with the First Baptist Church of Balboa Heights. From there, they went to Alamogordo, New Mexico, and joined the First Baptist Church.
In June 1975, the Keiths moved back to Colorado Springs, and re-joined membership at our church on June 8. For years, Betty sang faithfully in the choir, and she also served for years on staff in the business office. Clell served faithfully as our Sunday School records keeper for many, many years.
At the present time, funeral arrangement have not been made. Please join with me in praying for the Keith family.
