A Tribute to Carlee Cope
On behalf of our church family, I want to extend my love, sympathy, and prayer support to the family of Carlee Cope, who "went home to be with the LORD" this morning at 7:15 am, with her daughter, Joanie Robertson, at her side, singing "As the Deer." She was hospitalized recently, and then was transferred to Hospice Care at Penrose Main Hospital.
Carlee Cope was born June 24, 1922. She has been a follower of JESUS throughout her life, and has faithfully attended local churches in the area in which she has lived. On November 4, 2007, Carlee joined membership at Circle Drive, having been invited by another member of our church, Nellie Butler, who also now resides in heaven. She was a such a wonderful blessing to all of us!
Carlee loved JESUS and loved her church family at Circle Drive. For almost 10 years, she faithfully attended our church, even when she began carrying her supply of oxygen due to breathing difficulties. She supported our church's relocation, and often said that she hoped to live to see the day when we entered our new facility at Bradley and Marksheffel Roads.
Carlee Cope's celebration of life service will be held at Circle Drive's worship center on Saturday, April 22, 2017, with a reception following in the church's fellowship hall. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Samaritan's Purse. Please remember to pray for this wonderful family!
