A Tribute to Betty Paterson

On behalf of our Circle Drive Church family, I extend to Jim Paterson and his family my love, sympathy, and prayer support in the "homegoing" of Jim's wife Betty.  She was 73 years old.

On June 25, 1978, Jim joined membership at Circle Drive, transferring his letter form Ward Road Baptist Church in Arvada, CO.   On February 25, 1979, Betty joined membership, being baptized into the fellowship of the church by Dr. Lewis Adkison.

Jim and Betty were married for 37 years.  Jim told me recently that these were the best 37 years of his life.  They served the LORD together at Circle Drive, especially the Young at Heart Bible Study Class, which they attended since they joined the church.  You could also count on Jim and Betty to attend Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening services at the church.

Betty had a wonderful testimony for our LORD JESUS.  She loved her LORD, her husband and her family, and her church family.  Betty always had a smile, and displayed such a caring spirit.  She fought her illness with much courage and grace, glorifying GOD by her attitude and her actions.  She will be greatly missed by her entire church family.

Betty Paterson's celebration of life service will be held in the worship center at Circle Drive Baptist Church on Friday, October 16 at 1:00 p.m.  After the service, family and friends are invited downstairs for a time to be with Jim and the family.  Be sure to continue to remember Jim Paterson and his family in prayer!
