A tribute to Betty Keith
On behalf of our church family at Redemption Hill, I extend to Clell Keith and his family my love, sympathy, and prayer support in the passing of his wife of 65+ years, Betty Keith. Betty was born June 28, 1934, and went to heaven this past Friday, September 7. She was 84 years old.
Betty and Clell initially joined Redemption Hill (formerly Circle Drive Baptist) on September 14, 1960. They transferred their membership from the Academy Baptist Church in Honolulu, Hawaii. Due to his service in the military, Clell and Betty moved away for a short period of time, while maintaining their home at 125 Belfour Avenue. They returned to our church family on June 8, 1975, transferring their membership from the First Baptist Church of Alamogordo, New Mexico.
Betty was very active as a member of our church family. She served on staff in the business office for over 16 years. She especially loved to sing in the church choir. Betty loved JESUS, her family, and her church family. And her church family loved her! To quote I Samuel 20:18, "...you will be missed, because your seat will be empty."
Betty Keith's celebration of life service will be held on Friday, September 14 at 11:00 am in the worship center at Redemption Hill Church. The family has requested a choir sing at her service. So I am sending out a call to former choir members to come and sing this Friday morning. Ed McGee will lead the choir, and has requested choir members to come to rehearse at 10:30 am prior to the service.
Let's join together as a church family to pray for Clell Keith and his family during these difficult days!
