A Tribute to Al Pace

On behalf of our church family, I extend our love, sympathy and prayer support to the family of Al Pace, who "went home to be with the LORD" yesterday morning at his apartment at Palisades Park View.  Al was 83 years old.  Al was preceded in death by his wife, Violet (Vi).

Al was born December 17, 1934.  He and his wife, Vi, were married on September 26, 1954 in Marion, Ohio.  Al retired from the Air Force and worked for years at General Electric Government Services.  They had 3 sons, Randy, Robert, and Albert Pace III, and 1 daughter, Debbie Gower.

Al joined membership at Circle Drive on September 7, 1969, coming by letter from First Southern Baptist Church in Petaluma, California.  Al was a member of Circle for 48 years.  He was elected a deacon on November 20, 1991, and served in other capacities at the church as well.  Al was faithful to JESUS and the church family to the very end.  When his health began failing, he continued to attend with his walker and his oxygen.  His strong faith inspired us all.

Al Pace's celebration of life service will be held on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at our church campus at 124 Delaware Drive.  The family will host a reception afterwards.  The family requests memorial gifts be given to the Circle Drive REACH building fund in lieu of flowers.   Please join with me in praying for Al Pace's family.
