A Tribute to Adron Floyd

On behalf of our church family, I extend my love, sympathy, and prayer support to Bonnie Floyd and her family in the "homegoing" of Adron Floyd.

Adron was born November 4, 1931 in Aiken, South Carolina.  He married Bonnie Harn on November 16, 1952.  Adron and Bonnie enjoyed 64 years of married life together.

Adron served in the Air Force for 22 years, including assignments in the Korean War and the Vietnam War.  He received the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with 2 clusters, Korean War Medal, and Vietnam War Medal.

Adron and Bonnie moved to Colorado Springs after he retired from the Air Force in September 1972.  From 1972 to 1989, Adron worked Federal Civil Service at Fort Carson and the Air Force Academy.

Adron and Bonnie joined our Circle Drive church family on January 14, 1973, moving their membership from First Baptist Church, Salina, Kansas.  Bonnie and Adron taught a 1st graders class at Circle Drive for many years.  They have been faithful members since they joined.

Adron's Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11 at Fort Logan Cemetery in Denver.  Be sure to remember to pray for Bonnie and her family during these difficult days.
