    LOTTIE MOON OFFERING GOAL: $20,000

In Mark 16:15, GOD’s Word commands us to “go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” GOD has specifically called 3,623 persons to surrender their lives to full-time overseas missionary service. Yet we all also have the responsibility of obeying this command. Since GOD has not called us to go overseas, WE CAN GIVE SO THAT OTHERS CAN GO. We, therefore, obey this command by giving so that other can go for us. Last year, IMB personnel started 12,368

    THANKSGIVING 2020

I Chronicles 16:34 declares, “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” Psalm 136: 1-3 states, “Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever! Oh, give thanks to the GOD of gods! For His mercy endures forever! Oh, give thanks to the LORD of lords! For His mercy endures forever! Psalm 107:31: “Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!” If

SUFFERING AND THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD

At the conclusion of my Sunday morning message titled “Where is the GOD of Justice in This Unjust World?” from Malachi 2:16-3:6 , I shared a very “heavy” and tragic story of the sudden passing of Tim and Aileen Challies' 20-year-old son, Nick. I used this illustration as a model of how we as Christians must attain to a level of faith this couple has manifested in order to avoid the temptation of questioning GOD when severe adversity strikes. As a follow-up, I wanted to share

    MOMS IN PRAYER

Kim Swartz, a member of our Redemption Hill Church family, is launching a prayer group under the "umbrella" of the Moms In Prayer International Ministry. She is seeking to enlist moms to join in prayer for our kids and the schools they attend. According to promotional material, "Every child, preschool to young adult, needs your prayers. We live in a culture that seek to blind our children to the reality of GOD's love for them. You can make a difference in their lives by i

    VETERANS DAY

Today I, along with our Redemption Hill Church family, express sincere appreciation to all men and women who have served in our armed forces. We are blessed beyond measure to have some of these men and women as active members of our church family! We so appreciate their service to our country! For those of you who would like background information, Veterans Day, originally known as Armistice Day, is a federal holiday in the US observed annually on November 11 to honor milit

    BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS

I really enjoy reading, and typically read two books at a time. I am on track to read 40 books this year. Reading expands my knowledge, assists me in growing spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually, and provides “an escape” from “what is going on out there.” Here are some books I would highly recommend for your reading: 1. The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of the Great Migration by Isabelle Wilkerson. The author chronicles the lives of three persons who moved

    DEACON ELECTION RESULTS

I am delighted to report the results of our recent deacon election. We have four persons who have been elected deacons: Charlie Sabadell, Nicholas Rasmussen, Austin Patchin, and Laurent Meya. Charlie and Nicholas have previously served as deacons. They both possess servant's hearts, and faithfully serve in our church's ministry. Austin and Laurent have not been ordained as deacons. So, on Saturday, January 30, they will be interviewed at our annual deacon retreat. If the

REPORT FROM "DRIVE-THRU TRAIL OF TREATS

I praise GOD for the way He blessed our "Drive-Thru Trail of Treats" this past Saturday at our property at the southwest corner of Markseffel and Bradley Roads. We had a wonderful team of "servants" who made a difference for the event. We started the process at 11:00 am and unloaded supplies & items back at the church around 6:00 pm. I greatly appreciate the many hours our children's director, Kathy, invested in planning and organizing the event! A continuous stream of veh
