Hurricane Harvey has produced catastrophic flooding and devastating damage in Texas.  I am so thankful our daughter, Holly, her husband, Scott, and 3-year-old Daniel have escaped both.  They live in Spring, Texas, which is a northern suburb on Houston.  Many other residents were not as fortunate. The writer of the book of Ecclesiastes reminds us that there is "a time to be born and a time to die." For Lynn Stout, the time to be born was August 22, 1934 in Yukon, Oklahoma, and the time to die was August 4, 2017 in Colorado Springs.
