Moving Forward By Faith

We have a passionate desire to fulfill God’s purpose for our church, which is to lead people to salvation in Christ Jesus, and we are compelled to accomplish this in a greater degree. For this reason, seven years ago God began an amazing and challenging journey of total campus relocation for Redemption Hill Church. He miraculously provided 35 acres of land for $2.3 million below the asking price. The church family voted to approve relocation of the entire campus to the new property. Since then, over $3 million has been given for a new facility and this number continues to grow.

So what is our next step?

We recently moved to a transitional facility which we will call home until the completion of our new building at the corner of Marksheffel and Bradley Roads. Our previous facility was sold to Iglesia Nueva Vida on February 8, 2018. With the funds from the sale of our previous facility and the $3 million which have been raised to this point, we broke ground on April 20, 2019.

In January 2019 we began our last phase of fundraising for our future building called Reach for The Hill. We are asking all members and regular attendees to consider how God might be calling them to give to reach this vision. We are trusting in God's provision and praying that we might enter the new building debt-free. This is a God-sized task that only He can do.

Though our current funds do not total the amount needed for the completion of our new facility, we are moving forward in this transition, following biblical examples of faith like that of Moses, Joshua, and the Israelites. In Exodus 11 we see that Moses led the Israelites to leave Egypt by faith to journey to the Promised Land. They did not wait in Egypt for God to part the Red Sea and then move. Instead, they stepped out in faith as they left Egypt, and moved by faith to the Red Sea. With the Red Sea ahead of them and the Egyptian army behind them the Israelites realized their only hope was God. He saw their faith and rescued them. As God told Joshua and the Israelites in Joshua 1:9, we believe He is also telling us, “Be strong and courageous… I will be with you.” As we move forward by faith, we believe God is going to provide us with all the resources we need.

Thank you for reading about our journey! We hope it encourages you to join us in walking by faith, doing what God is calling you to do in your life even though all the answers aren't readily available. William Carey, the father of modern missions, reminds us to “Expect great things from God, and attempt great things for God.” We are expecting God to do great things, and we are attempting a great work for Him!
